Attendance at all three Team Selections is required, to ensure players are placed in the most appropriate team.

Very important to remember:
- Netball age groups are determined by year of birth, not school grade.
- Team Selections are conducted by three independent selectors per age group.
- Players unable to attend all the sessions (without prior notification) may be placed in teams where vacancies exist.
- Team Selections consist of short game play, in at least the two positions nominated by the player.
- Final selection decisions include a review of previous Coaches' reports (for returning Raiders players).
- Players turning 11 and older can indicate a preference: be considered for the highest team possible (in any position), or favoured position (in any team).
- Players turning 9 and younger are not required for Team Selections. Teams are chosen by friendships/previous playing experience (please indicate on registration under ‘friend requests’.
Each season there are significant movements between teams, necessitated by new and departing players, growth, fitness, and positional changes. Unfortunately, such changes can lead to a level of disappointment for a few players (parents). Be assured, that whilst we appreciate not everyone will be happy with the team choices made, making new friends and being placed in the most appropriate team to best develop skills, will undoubtedly outweigh such feelings quickly.
Players who do not attend Team Selections, or who join the club late, are placed into the most appropriate team possible.
When you arrive at Team Selections:
- Please report to the yellow Raiders tent in front of the clubhouse to have your name checked off and receive your number (which will be written on your leg).
- Please apply sunscreen AFTER you have been numbered.
- Listen to the directions given by the volunteers at check-in, who will advise you what court you are on and where your waiting area is.
- When you are NOT trialling on court, do not leave the end of the court. The selectors often call out your name to sub you on and off throughout games, so make sure you stay nearby. Please let a helper know if you need to go toilet.
- Bring plenty of water and a hat for while you are sitting off. You are welcome to wear a soft visor on court if you wish.
- No earrings/jewellery for safety reasons and as normal netball rules apply.
- All players WILL NOT receive equal court time at Team Selections, but you will definitely be given the opportunity to play your 2 chosen positions (as noted on your registration) during the 3 sessions.
- Parents, please do not approach the Selectors during trials. If you have any questions regarding Team Selections, please contact Club President, Sandy Fuller, on 0478 164 214.
- Don't be too nervous! Selections are designed to make sure you are allocated to a team which best suits you. Whichever team that is, be assured, you will make lots of lovely friends and be a part of a beautiful, family club.
- Uniforms will be available for purchase under the clubhouse at the two Wednesday trials.
